Travel fees are calculated based on distance from clients home to IBCLC home and range from $0-75. If a travel fee applies to your area we will notify you within 24 hours of booking. Contact us if you would like a quote in advance.

Cash, check, or credit/HSA cards are accepted at consultation, or, if desired, pay when you book online. Tips are welcome but not expected.

We are in-network with Aetna. In order to submit a claim on your behalf, you must fill out our release for filing health insurance form within 24 hours of your appointment. Please note, Aetna routinely uses industry standard cost-sharing practices, which may mean that a small portion of our rate will not be covered. However, we do our best to bill lactation consults as a preventative (covered) service.
We are an authorized out-of-network provider with Tricare East. For Tricare members, we require partial payment upfront, and will submit a claim on their behalf afterwards. In order to submit a claim on your behalf, you must fill out our release for filing health insurance form within 24 hours of your appointment.
We are an in-network provider for Cigna via Wildflower Health. To check your plan's eligibility fill out this form. Most Cigna patients are fully covered for lactation consults.
For all other insurance plans we partner with The Lactation Network (TLN) for insurance billing. TLN covered consults are usually eligible for United Healthcare*, BCBS PPO, Multiplan, & Anthem PPO plans, but additional insurance providers and plans are being continuously added and everyone is welcome to apply. Fill out the The Lactation Network form and list Lake Norman Breastfeeding Solutions as the referring lactation consultant. If you have an appointment scheduled, please mark the form as Emergent or Urgent and you should receive a response within a few hours confirming your plan's eligibility. If you do not need an immediate appointment, select Non-Urgent or Planning Ahead and you'll receive a response within 3-4 days.

If approved, consults are covered 100% through The Lactation Network
*UHC plans are not currently eligible for telehealth visits through The Lactation Network but could opt to self-pay.
